Alerts, the bell and emails
After every books read, Cass compares what it finds with the read before and tells you what changed, on the bell in the app and by email.
What becomes an alert
| Alert | When |
|---|---|
| New problem | A problem that wasn't there at the last read |
| Worse | The same problem, now more urgent |
| Cleared | A problem that has gone: good news |
| Runway | Runway fell below 6 months, or by a month or more |
| Customer late | A customer's invoices went past their due date |
“Late” is judged on the books' last entry, not on today, so an invoice paid yesterday and not yet in the books isn't called late. Each alert links to the exact item: the fix, the customer, or the cash planner.
The bell
The count on the bell is what you haven't seen yet. Opening it marks everything seen.
Alert emails
When a read brings anything other than good news, each member whose alert emails are on gets one email listing that read's alerts. Turn them off in Settings, Preferences.
The monthly email
On the 2nd of each month, every member of a company gets one email: its runway, up to 3 things that need attention with ₹ amounts, and what changed since the month before. It never names a customer or supplier. Each person can turn it off for each company in Settings, or with the unsubscribe link in the email.
