Your first week with Cassence

Your first diagnosis is a starting point. Take one short task a day, and by the end of the week the numbers are ones you trust and use.

Each day builds on the one before. If you haven't set up yet, start with the Quickstart.

Day 1: Read the diagnosis

Open Overview. Read the runway first, then the most urgent card: each one says what the problem is, why it happened with the figures from your books, and what each option would do. Then open Going well for what is working.

Done when you can say your runway in months and the one thing to act on this week.

Day 2: Tidy your books

Open the Fix list. Under Tidy your books are the things Cass couldn't read or sort on its own: an account with no category, entries that don't balance, totals that don't match the source, a service period to confirm. Settle each one there; the diagnosis is read again afterwards.

Done when the tidy list is empty, or every item left is one you have decided to keep.

Day 3: Collect what you're owed

Open Customers: what each customer owes, how late it is, their share of your sales, and whether they pay faster or slower than before. Open a late customer and choose Remind. Cass drafts the message in a tone that fits how late they are; you edit it and send it from your own WhatsApp or email.

Done when every late customer has had a reminder.

Day 4: Plan your cash

Open the Cash forecast to see the next 13 weeks and the lowest point. Then open the Cash planner and try a lever: cut spending, collect faster, add a monthly cost such as a hire, or raise money. The cash line and the month it runs out redraw as you move it.

Done when you know your lowest week ahead and what you would do about it.

Day 5: Bring in your team

In Settings, Team, invite a co-founder, and your chartered accountant with the Accountant role. Then open the Investor update: the month's figures are already filled in from the books. Add your highlights and asks, and send it.

Done when your CA has signed in and this month's update is ready to send.
