Get your first diagnosis
Four steps and about ten minutes. After that, Cass reads your books every night by itself.
Before you start
Have one of these to hand. Any one is enough to begin; more gives a fuller diagnosis.
- Your books in whatever form you keep them: an Excel or Google Sheet (a sales register, expenses, a cash book or a full ledger), a Tally export, or a Zoho Books login.
- A recent bank statement from net banking, as PDF, CSV, XLS or XLSX. Any bank works.
- Your company's GST details, if it is registered.
Set up in four steps
- Tell us about your company
Its name, state and GST details. This takes two minutes and decides which checks run and which tax dates go on your calendar. Create your account first if you haven't.
- Hand over your books
Upload a sheet, a Tally export or a bank statement, or connect Zoho Books read-only. Before anything is saved you see how every sheet was read, and you can change any column. See What you can send.
- Confirm your bank balance
Pick the closing balance the statement shows, or type the one in your bank app. Runway always rests on a balance a person confirmed: Cass never picks one for you.
- Read your first diagnosis
Runway in months, monthly burn, cash in the bank, what needs you this month with the cause and what to do, and the tax dates ahead with their amounts.
What happens next
Cass starts reading as soon as your books land. From then on it reads them again every night, runs its checks on the latest entries and compares what it finds with the read before. Anything new appears on the bell in the app, and in an email if you keep alert emails on.
Linked sources (Zoho Books, a Google Sheet, Excel on OneDrive, Tally through its helper, and connected apps) stay current by themselves. Bank statements are added once a month: see Bank statements.
